The Care Lab of the Paris Brain Institute puts the users of the care chain at the centre of medical innovations in order to develop new innovative products or services, rapidly deployable, for patients, patients and care professionals.
Care Lab, specialized in neurology and psychiatry, was created in 2015 by the Paris Brain Institute and the AP-HP and is located in the center of the Pitié-Salpêtrière. Its objective is to imagine, co-design, prototype and field test innovations (technologies, products, services) to meet the concrete needs of the care chain.
Who is the Care Lab dedicated to?
Care Lab is dedicated to patients and the medical profession by closely involving them in the effective development of innovations, from idea generation to marketing.
The ambition of the Care Lab
Care Lab also aims to support start-ups in their development. We therefore work closely with iPEPS, the incubator of the Institut du Cerveau, to offer services based on a UX-oriented methodology (user experience), by co-designing with users, allowing access to our terrain, in the heart of the Pitié-Salpêtrière.
