A centre of excellence in neuroscience research, innovation and teaching, Paris Brain Institute is part of a network of partnerships through international research fellowships awarded to its researchers, strategic institutional partnerships and the promotion of education and knowledge exchange around the world.

Paris Brain Institute works closely with key strategic partners around the world, engaging in student exchange programs, clinical training and joint research funding.

Key Partnerships

Brainlat Institute (Latin America)

Paris Brain Institute has established links with BrainLat Institute, the Latin American Institute for Brain Health, and shares its goal of fostering innovative international research in Latin America, particularly in the area of neurodegenerative diseases.

Columbia University, United States

Paris Brain Institute collaborates with Columbia University through unique educational activities as well as joint conferences in different areas of neuroscience, including consciousness and neurodegenerative diseases.

CURE-ND (France, Germany, Belgium and United Kingdom)

CURE-ND (Catalysing a United Response in Europe to Neurodegenerative Diseases) is an innovative research and education network created in 2021. It brings together the Institut du Cerveau de Paris (France), the Dementia Research Institute of the United Kingdom (UK-DRI), the German Centre for Degenerative Diseases (DZNE) and Mission Lucidity in Belgium. Together, these four centres of excellence seek to advance the understanding of neurodegenerative diseases through joint academic, lobbying and educational activities.

Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi (IITD), India

Paris Brain Institute and Sorbonne University collaborate with the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi within the framework of the Franco-Indian Campus on "Integrated Health" involving the mobility of postgraduate students as well as research exchanges in various disciplines related to neurosciences.

NEURO - Montreal Brain Institute (Canada)

As part of its long-standing partnership with Neuro, Paris Brain Institute co-finances joint research projects involving teams from both institutions through the international Big Brain Theory (BBT) program. The exchange also includes regular thematic conferences.

PORT – Polish Technology Centre (Poland)

Collaboration with the Polish Technology Centre (PORT) includes participation in the SAME-NeuroID twinning project funded by the European Commission, joint workshops for advanced and early career researchers and laboratory partnerships.

Stanford University, United States of America

Paris Brain Institute has close ties with Stanford University, including student exchanges since 2017 in various fields of neuroscience, as well as a deep research partnership based on excellence and innovation.

TReND in AFRICA (Africa)

TReND in Africa is an organization focused on promoting biomedical research and education in Africa. Paris Brain Institute is committed to contributing to this effort through collaborations on best practices in neuroscience research, workshops and training.

Weizmann Institute (Israel)

Paris Brain Institute interacts with the Weizmann Institute in areas of excellence in neuroscience, creating a partnership focused on cutting-edge research.

Yale University, United States

Formed in 2015, the partnership with Yale University includes research collaborations, student, researcher and clinician exchange programs, and "Grand Rounds" where clinical case reports are discussed jointly.

C-Brains International PhD Programme

Paris Brain Institute supports applications for international doctoral fellowships through the C-BRAINS program, a partnership between the Institut du Cerveau, the Fondation Paris Neurosciences (FNP) of Sorbonne University and the CEA.

Master Course 2 iMIND

This international Master's Degree in Neurodegenerative Diseases is an international, interdisciplinary training program that allows students to develop an individualized curriculum through course modules and research projects involving national and international partners.
iMIND brings together researchers from Paris Brain Institute, as well as other neuroscience institutes associated with Sorbonne University to offer courses aimed at immersing students in current and innovative research themes on brain functions and dysfunction.
