IGenSeq

The IGenSeq Genome Sequencing Platform

Retour à la recherche

The iGenSeq platform (genotyping-sequencing platform) specialises in genomic analysis techniques that provide research teams with the necessary equipment to sequence the genome, that is, the reading of DNA and its derivatives such as coding RNAs, small RNAs and non-coding RNAs. This reading allows detailed analysis of the genome, detection of mutations or variations in gene expression, and identification of potential associations between these alterations and diseases of the nervous system.

Presentation of the platform

Presentation of the platform

Thanks to its expertise, the platform is recognized as a major player in sequencing in France, and has joined the GENOMIC FRANCE network in 2022.

The platform also offers its services to academic research teams external to Paris Brain Institute as well as to industrial players with projects requiring high-level skills.

The services offered by iGenSeq include real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), digital PCR, next-generation high-throughput sequencing and single cell RNA analysis, including transcriptomic spatial analysis. Each project submitted to the platform is discussed with the researcher in order to optimize its design and feasibility.

Certification
Certification

The iGenSeq platform of Paris Brain Institute obtained in June 2022 the confirmation of its certification to the standard ISO9001:2015* for its activities of service delivery in high-speed sequencing.

After its first ISO certification in 2015, the iGenSeq platform obtained in November 2021 the label of the scientific interest group IBiSA (Infrastructure in Biology Health and Agronomy), which then enabled it to participate in the calls for financing for projects of structuring and technological development, and to integrate the GENOMIC FRANCE network, UMS (Mixed Service Unit). This brings together the majority of French sequencing and bioinformatics platforms in a consortium coordinated by the CEA, and aims to foster collaborations on major national and international projects and exchanges on scientific and technical developments in the sector. In June 2022, IGenSeq participated in a first meeting of this professional network, to share expertise and consolidate high-speed sequencing activities.
