NeurAL

Last update: 24/02/2025 Reading time: 1min

The NeurAL program of the Brain Institute functions as a launching pad for innovative entrepreneurship projects in neuroscience. This structure identifies and validates some of the most promising scientific projects and enables them to develop their economic models in order to achieve sound business strategies.

Each year, the NeurAL programme provides for the selection and acceleration of innovative projects in the field of therapeutics, medical technologies or digital solutions from world-renowned academic research institutions focusing on neurosciences and neurological disorders.

This support is intended to ensure that technological development is sufficiently robust to benefit from significant seed funding, enabling the creation or acceleration of start-up companies.

Methodology
Methodology

During this 12- to 18-month acceleration program for scientific projects or products in development, selected projects focus on data production, roadmap development and business structuring.

This program provides the methods and strategies needed to achieve the next stages of product development, including: marketing strategy, regulatory processes, communication, financing, and investor meeting preparation.

Each project has a focal point to ensure that it runs smoothly and that the right mentors and resources are in place to grow the underlying technology and the future business.

The objective of this acceleration is to bring each project to a level of maturity that at a minimum demonstrates real-world validation or demonstration.

To this end, each step is structured by:

  • Mentoring sessions to brainstorm and advance the roadmap
  • Training
  • Deliverables to strengthen the data set, advance developments or structure the future business
  • Structuring a Leadership Team
