Created in 2012 by the Institut du Cerveau, iPEPS is the first innovation accelerator dedicated to neurosciences in France. iPEPS promotes the emergence of innovations aimed at patients by supporting the creation of start-ups and accompanying the development of companies in the fields of biotech, medtech, and digital technologies applied to neurosciences and mental health.
iPEPS provides an ideal framework for the development of breakthrough projects in neuroscience and mental health through the unique ecosystem of the Brain Institute. Indeed, the Institute brings together more than 705 scientists (researchers, clinicians, etc.) in a single location, located within the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, which is the largest neurological hospital in France (more than 100,000 patients per year).

Over the past 12 years, iPEPS has assisted more than 100 companies through its acceleration programme, which have raised more than €680M and put some 15 innovative products on the market.
Today, iPEPS’s expertise focuses on start-up companies during their first three years of existence. The acceleration program allows access to dedicated spaces (laboratories and offices) as well as to the technological platforms of the Brain Institute. To meet the needs of start-ups in biotech, medtech and digital health, the iPEPS team has scientific, regulatory and business expertise and offers personalized support to support companies in their growth.
