The symptoms of the brain tumour depend on the nature of the tumour, its location in the brain, its size and its rate of development.
Symptoms of Brain Tumours
Each region of the brain has defined functions, and the appearance of a brain tumour therefore has localized repercussions and can result in motor, sensory, visual field impairment, language and cognitive or behavioural disorders, depending on the area affected.
Other symptoms may also be due to the compression of the brain by the tumour, which can lead to intracranial hypertension (HTIC) resulting in headaches that persist for several days, and of increasing intensity, nausea and vomiting.
