For the past nine years, Crédit Mutuel Nord Europe (CMNE) and La Française Asset Managers (AM) have been supporting Paris Brain Institute through a creative and concerted patronage policy.
Each year, CMNE and La Française AM make a donation to Paris Brain Institute through an innovative philanthropic initiative known in France as “Sociétés Civiles de Placement Immobilier” (SCPI). Through this initiative, collective investors form an unlisted company as a vehicle for raising capital with the aim of purchasing and managing rental property.
In 2014, CMNE and La Française AM partnered with Euryale to launch the first SCPI co-investment fund, Pierval Santé. Thanks to CMNE’s and La Française AM’s initiative, the partners of this SCPI co-investment fund have helped to fund medical research at Paris Brain Institute.
Over the past year, in addition to SCPI Pierval Santé, the partnership with Paris Brain Institute has expanded to the first La Française Real Estate Managers’ first SCPI invested in healthcare assets, Avenir Santé.Given the significant returns achieved by this SCPI, CMNE and La Française AM were able to make a donation of €176,000 to Paris Brain Institute during the summer. This donation marks a milestone in the partnership between Paris Brain Institute, CMNE and La Française AM, and demonstrates savers’ growing interest in socially responsible investments. To celebrate this success, CMNE and La Française AM came to the Institute to record a video with Professor Alexis Brice – Executive Director of Paris Brain Institute, and the research teams.
