The R&D unit aims to provide scientific teams, other platforms of the institute as well as startups incubated at the Institute of the Brain with unique equipment and research tools to enable them to test their hypotheses in new ways.
Presentation of the platform
With expertise in design, electronics, mechanics and programming, the platform engineers are able to meet a wide variety of needs with applications ranging from cellular scale to human behaviour analysis. This development “Made at Institut du Cerveau” guarantees the teams complete freedom in the selection of the model of valorisation of their technological innovations, whether they opt for the open-source route or commercialization. In practice, the platform provides a design and production service as well as training and self-contained machines. The range of machines available includes several technologies for 3D printing, laser cutting, manufacturing and measuring equipment in electronics . . .
