Research

Their main objective is to improve the treatment of brain tumours through a better understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of tumorigenesis, tumour progression and resistance to treatment. They wish to decipher how the parent cell transforms into a tumor proliferation, how this proliferation remodels the surrounding normal brain parenchyma and elicits an immune response, and how intratumor heterogeneity evolves during progression and treatment. They hope that better diagnostic classification, better assessment of prognosis and therapeutic response, and identification of new therapeutic targets will pave the way for progress in the fight against brain tumours.
