Research
Neuroimaging and Human Neuropsychology The team of Mathias Pessiglione, Sébastien Bouret and Jean Daunizeau is working to understand the brain mechanisms that underlie motivational processes: why we pin our hopes on certain opportunities, why we prefer certain options to others, or why we spend so much effort on certain activities. It combines three complementary approaches: human cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology in experimental models, and computational modelling, which is essential for quantitatively linking different levels of description.
