Since 2015, he has been a lecturer in the Neurosurgery Department of La Pitié-Salpêtrière. He was a neurosurgeon in Paris from 2003 to 2009, then head of the clinic in Beaujon and then in La Pitié-Salpêtrière from 2011 to 2015. He specializes in the surgical management of peripheral nerve tumours, including schwannomes and neurofibromas, and in the treatment of aggressive forms of meningitis.
His research focus is on benign brain tumours and malformations, foremost among which are cavernomas, meningocosms and schwannomes. His work focuses both on the molecular biology of these tumours and on the creation of genetically modified mouse models to determine the initial mechanisms of tumorigenesis as well as progression.
