A group of neurons involved in the functioning of the vegetative nervous system, which autonomously regulates many internal functions such as blood pressure or body temperature.
The vegetative centre is also called the autonomic nervous system. The vegetative nervous system consists of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
