A new televised bequest awareness campaign

Retour à la recherche

Making a bequest is a deeply personal and carefully considered act that enables you to continue your pledges. In the field of scientific and medical research, a bequest is an important way to support decisive advances that will benefit future generations.

With its new awareness campaign, Paris Brain Institute is highlighting the tangible human benefits of bequests by targeting the two specific drivers of our research: the brain, this mysterious organ about which we still have so much more to discover, and Paris Brain Institute itself, our innovative center where each discovery advances our knowledge of diseases that touch the very core of our humanity.

A campaign that spotlights the impact of bequests

A new televised bequest awareness campaign

The new awareness campaign by Paris Brain Institute sets itself apart by having a specific focus: it highlights the very places where the research happens, marking them out with a simple word: “here”.

There is meaning behind this choice of word. It demonstrates the tangible impact of bequests, making it relatable and immediately understandable. “Here” is more than an abstract statement: “here” is first and foremost the brain, this conducting organ of the human body whose functioning we must understand.

“Here” is also a laboratory, an imaging room, a space for scientific collaboration. It is a living and breathing space occupied by everyone who works in science and who makes scientific progress possible. It is also where donations and bequests have a lasting impact, as they transform into discoveries, innovations, and hope for patients.

“Here”: a spatial and symbolic narrative

The repeated use of the word “here” in the video acts as a guiding thread.

Each time the word appears, it not only refers to a specific space, but also to a broader idea: that of a place where the future of research is built. This visual and narrative approach brings the viewer closer to the everyday work of researchers. It unveils the often overlooked backdrop of scientific research that combines basic and translational research, clinical expertise, and support for cutting-edge technology platforms

By emphasizing these places where research work happens, the campaign demonstrates that bequests are not an abstract or intangible gesture. They are made in a specific, identifiable space where each contribution can make a difference.

Bequests: lasting support for research

At Paris Brain Institute, bequests play a crucial role: they help fund ambitious research projects, recruit excellent researchers, acquire state-of-the-art equipment and develop innovative therapeutic treatments for neurological and psychiatric diseases.
