Paris Brain Institute’s Open Brain School is opening registrations for the latest edition of its “Creativity & Neurosciences” Masterclass, which will take place on 25 and 26 June 2026 at Paris Brain Institute (Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Paris 13e). This two-day immersive training course, which is limited to 20 participants, is a chance to explore the brain mechanisms of creativity with a rigorous scientific approach.

Test, understand and build your creativity
Designed for innovation professionals, designers, artists, executives, consultants, and project managers, this masterclass alternates theoretical seminars with practical workshops. Featured on the program:
- Techniques and methods for measuring creativity in neuroscience
- Different creative processes: divergent thinking, associative thinking, problem-solving
- Is creativity a muscle that can be built? Latest knowledge and contributions from neuroscience
- Influencing, blocking, and supporting factors: cognitive, metacognitive, social, emotional, and motivational factors
An immersive course with international experts
This 2026 edition will welcome three world-renowned specialists from the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity (SfNC):
- Dr Emmanuelle Volle, neurologist and neuroscientist, director of research at Paris Brain Institute (scientific coordinator)
- Dr Indre Viskontas, neuroscientist and professor of psychology at the University of San Francisco
- Dr Mathieu Cassotti, professor of developmental psychology and deputy director of the Institute of Psychology at Paris Descartes University
- Alizée Lopez-Persem, PhD, CRCN, Principal Investigator, (INSERM)

This training course is aimed at people who want to understand the neurological bases that underpin creative processes, rather than a standardized managerial method, building on the current work of Paris Brain Institute and the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity.
The goal of the Frontlab team is to understand better the role and organization of the prefrontal cortex in the control, activation, and inhibition of goal-directed behaviours.
