Paris Brain Institute is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025-2026 academic year to the iMIND International Master Program - International Master In Neurodegenerative Diseases, a high-level training program run by Sorbonne Université's Master of Neuroscience in partnership with prestigious institutions such as the University of Heidelberg...
Unique training at the heart of neuroscience and medical innovation
The iMIND Master's degree is the first Master's program entirely dedicated to neurodegenerative diseases. Designed to meet the major scientific and medical challenges posed by nervous system pathologies, this program of excellence is aimed at students from all over the world, with backgrounds in biology, neuroscience, medicine and related sciences.
Entirely taught in English, the program trains students in fundamental and translational research through a unique transdisciplinary approach.
An integrated program at Paris Brain Institute
Throughout the year, iMIND Master's students will benefit from the expertise of scientists at Paris Brain Institute, as well as its cutting-edge technological infrastructures (calcium imaging, electrophysiology, spatial transcriptomics, etc.). They will also take part in international scientific seminars organized within the Institute, encouraging direct exchanges with experts from all over the world.
A multidisciplinary program focusing on brain pathologies
The modules cover a wide range of complementary topics, including :
- pathophysiological mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases
- New technologies applied to human neuropathologies
- Genetics of neuropsychiatric diseases
- Neuron-glia interactions
- Cognitive and behavioral exploration of neurodegenerative disorders
- Cellular and synaptic mechanisms of the hippocampus and cerebellum
- Entrepreneurship in neuroscience (Brain to Market Summer School)
A springboard to a career in research
The program is strongly oriented towards research, with a 5-6 month internship in a laboratory (in France or abroad) and a strong involvement in innovative scientific projects. It prepares students for careers in :
- Academic, clinical and industrial research
- Pharmaceutical development
Who should apply?
The iMIND Master's program is open to students with an M1 level (or equivalent) in neuroscience, biology, medicine, pharmacy or related disciplines. The program is selective and offers up to 5 scholarships of €1,200/month for the best international candidates in the first semester.
Applications: March 27 to June 12, 2025
