A message that circulates from one neuron to another in electrical form, also known as an action potential.

Basic cell of the nervous tissue, capable of receiving, analysing, reproducing and transmitting information in the form of an electrical or chemical signal.

Neuroscience :

Neuroscience encompasses all scientific research into the nervous system, i.e. the brain, spinal cord and nerves.

Neurotransmitters :

A chemical molecule produced and released by a neuron which enables messages to be transmitted by attaching itself to other cells.
