Serotonin

A neurotransmitter involved in mood management and associated with happiness. Often called the “happiness hormone”, serotonin activates or inhibits brain activity depending on the receptor to which it binds. Serotonin is essential for neurons to communicate with each other.

A group of distinct axons passing through a tissue.

Nervous Influx :

A message that circulates from one neuron to another in electrical form, also known as an action potential.

Neurodegeneration :

The progressive deterioration of nerve cells (neurons).

Neurological disease :

Disease affecting the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord).

Neuron :

Basic cell of the nervous tissue, capable of receiving, analysing, reproducing and transmitting information in the form of an electrical or chemical signal.

A neurotransmitter is a chemical molecule produced and released by a neuron that transmits messages by binding to other cells.

Noradrenaline (or norepinephrine) :

Noradrenaline is a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in regulating physiological and behavioral responses, including stress response, alertness, memory, impulsivity and attention. It also regulates our blood pressure and heart rate.
